What type of Electric Guitar should I purchase?

Well, I’ve been forced into playing the piano for years, and finally get to learn what I always wanted, Acoustic is harder to start out with from what I heard, and besides I’m into Hairbands and 80s glam rock, I like some metal though. In your opinion what would be the best type of electric guitar that wouldn’t break my budget yet is great Quality?

thing with electric guitars..a lot depends on the amp as well. as for the guitar, i recommend either a fender because those play great, or an ibanez, which is a lot cheaper and still plays great =D

and about the acoustic guitar, it’s actually better to start on an acoustic if you’re planning to play electric because the frets are bigger and the strings are harder to bend. of course it’s harder in the beggining but when u make that transition to electric, everything’s much easier.
