Is it possible to turn a 3-set single coil stratocaster guitar into a 2-set single coil 1 humbucker?
I have a fender strat with 3 single coil pickups. Is it possible to have work on it so that it has the neck and middle single coil pickups, and a Bridge Humbucker?
If you reverse the wires to the center pickup the one three and five positions on the pickup switch will give single coil performance, but positions two and four will have the humbucking effect, and you won’t need to carve up the axe. Sincerely, try this modification first, it’s simple to do, gives good results, and does not require any non reversible work.
