Metal Muff distortion peddle, would it be good for doom metal?

I’m starting a doom metal band and I was thinking about getting the Metal Muff peddle but I need to know if it is good for playing doom metal. You know like Candlemass and Solitude Aeturnus

I use a Big Muff too, but I like the boost feature on the metal muff; especially if you are trying to play some lead licks over a second guitar player. It helps cut through all the bass heavy sound from the rest of the band. I achieve the same effect with a Maxon Tube Screamer. I do think the Big Muff has more of that fuzz sound (Saint Vitus, Electric Wizard, Goatsnake) while the Metal Muff is a little more compressed. (Ufomammut, YOB, Place of Skulls)
